Feb 15th, I am planning a work day at the OWL Center in Dubach La. Sam would like us to work on trails that have been unused for years because of storms and lack of manpower. This is on a Monday, Presidents Day. I will finalize details when we get closer to that day when I can review the weather.
If you haven’t been with BCOS long, we assist in maintaining the horse and bike trails of the Outdoor Wilderness Learning Center. They are a non-profit group working with special needs students and other groups primarily using horses in therapy. This is a Methodist group but the facilities are open to all in need. Their staff is quite small and extremely busy so we have traveled there several times to reopen therapy trails by clearing trees and brush from them. This will be a one day event unlike others we have stayed overnight. We will most likely work 4-5 hours starting around 9 Am. I will get into the details of what to bring later for tools.
Please consider donating your time to a fantastic bunch of folks.

The best directions from Bossier is to go I-20 East to exit Exit 78 for LA-563 North go approximately 7 miles follow LA-563 to the right on Nobles School Road. The OWL center will be on the right.
