Type of Hike: Day hike, Out and Back
Hike Distance: 3.8 miles
Maximum Elevation Distance: 50 feet, mildly undulating trail
Rating: Easy to moderate.
Features: Great views of Lake Sequoia. We will see Waterfowl and possibly Eagles. Optional visit to Lake Sequoia dam and spillway after hike.

Meeting Place and Time: Lake Sequoyah Park, 6608 East Lake Sequoia Drive; 10:00 AM
Directions: Take highway 16 (Huntsville Road) East from Crossover Road (265) in Fayetteville. Turn left on Lake Sequoia Drive and continue turning right until you cross the one-lane Bridge over Lake Sequoia. Park in the lot on the right immediately after the one-lane bridge, opposite the Marina.
Reminder: The Highlands Chapter will have the annual holiday party later in the day on Saturday, January 4 at 5:00 PM in the Mount Sequoia Center.
Comment: Bring water, snack, rain gear, gloves, and wear hiking boots. I don’t anticipate eating lunch during the hike, but snacks might be needed. No pets are allowed on any hikes, and children under 12 years must be accompanied by a guardian. Everyone is welcome to hike with the OSHC, whether an Ozark Society member or not.
