Event Details

Ozark Society Highlands Chapter Members and Friends:

Due to weather, our first meeting of 2023 has been rescheduled to Tuesday evening, February 7th.  Last year our focus was on the Buffalo River, but this year we will have a wide variety of programs from local activists and authors to US Forest Service personnel and beyond.

Speaking to us on February 7 will be Donna and Kelly Mulholland. Many of you know them as the singing duo “Still on the Hill”.    They have shared their talents in school classrooms to promote music appreciation and at community events to promote worthy causes.  Their concern these days is climate change.

Donna and Kelly have been life-long activists with their primary focus being protecting the environment and climate change.  They feel we as a species have passed the TIPPING POINT and now are learning about ‘acceptance’.  They are having a month-long exhibit up at Mount Sequoyah Center in Fayetteville bringing awareness to the Ozark Chinquapin Chestnut Foundation and the work they have been doing to bring back this Ozark Treasure.  They will talk about this exhibit and share some songs and invite Q & A.

Please join us. Bring a friend. We’d love to see you…
