Distance of hike: approx. 4 miles with a 1.5 mi. bushwhacking

Difficulty of hike: moderate

Meeting time: 10:00 a.m.  PLEASE BE PROMPT!

Meeting Place:  Rock Creek Junction (aka Evening Star, AR).  This is between Harriet & Hwy 14 bridge/Dillards Ferry. A former church converted to the Ha-Ro-Co Fire Station/Rock Creek Community Bldg. and the Rock Creek Cemetery are at that road intersection, east side of 14.  The cemetery parking lot on Hwy 14 is approx. 20 miles south of intersection of Hwy 62 & 14 in Yellville, AR.  If coming from Yellville you will go past Dillard’s Ferry a few miles.

Please bring lunch, water, snacks, hiking boots.  Bring your own first aid supplies, bug spray, sunscreen or whatever you need for the day.  It is modern gun hunting season so you should wear/display bright orange or bright red.

We are just some experienced hiking friends who are casually meeting at a trailhead to go hiking.  Hike at your own risk; everyone is responsible for their own self/well-being. No children under 13 allowed. Hikes are limited to 15 people. This is an Ozark Society hike-No pets allowed on Ozark Society hikes.  There will be an Ozark Society Liability Waiver for everyone to sign.
