Bashore Ridge Loop Hike, Hobbs State Park
Day, Date: February 1, 2025
Name of Hike: Bashore Ridge Loop
Location: 13 miles east of Rogers AR on AR Hwy 12
Type of Hike: Trail
Hiking Distance: 3.5 miles (If you want 3 more miles you could hike the Dutton Hollow Loop).
Elevation Gain: 396 feet
Rating: Moderate
Features: A diverse combination of geography and nature can be seen along the way. The 3 1/2 mile loop to Beaver Lake follows ridge tops and ridge rims with only a half dozen hills to climb through. There are some nice bluffs overlooking the lake where we will have lunch/snack and then return to parking lot. For those wanting a few more steps, the trailhead to Dutton Hollow Loop trail is 1/2 mile from the parking lot, making it an extra 3 mile hike through Dutton Hollow and return to the same parking lot. These two loops are multiuse trails meaning we may encounter horses or bikes. Equestrian traffic has the right-of-way on the trails.
