The Central Arkansas Astronomical Society will be hosting for the public a Star Party at Lake Sylvia State Park on Saturday February 21, 2026 from 6:30-10:00 PM 

There will be a presentation at the Park Lodge, at 6:00 PM about the Celestial objects that can be observed during the Star Party.

If the weather forecast calls for cloudy skies on the 21st, the Star Party will be held on Friday February 20th.

The telescopes will be at the southeast corner of the lake, indicated by the arrow labeled Observing Location on the attached map of Lake Sylvia

Lake Sylvia has darker skies than our River Ridge Observatory (RRO).

CAAS is one of the Mid-South’s outstanding Astronomy Societies.
