Aldo Leopold is a name not known as well as Henry David Thoreau, but he along with John Muir and Rachel Carson are the pillars for the modern environmental movement and the practice of ecological conservation and preservation. In honor of Aldo Leopold, organizations around the country are celebrating in March “Leopold Week”.
For our March meeting, Thursday, March 12, we will be showing the movie, “Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and A Land Ethic For Our Time”. The movie was produced by the Aldo Leopold Foundation, the Center for Humans and Nature, and The US Forest Service.
