This Week’s Outing:  Trail Maintenance on the Ozark Highlands Trail (Ragtown Road to Fane Creek)

• Meet at 9am at First Care South at intersection of Huntsville Rd and Crossover Rd to caravan, or
• Meet at Turner Bend store by Mulberry River on Hwy 23 at 9:45.
• Bring loppers, hedge trimmers etc., gloves, bug spray, sack lunch.

Meeting Place and Time:

• Meet at First Care Medical Center South in Fayetteville at the intersection of Crossover Road (AR Hwy 265) and Huntsville Road (AR Hwy16) for caravanning and a 9:00 departure, or
• Meet at the Turner Bend Store, two miles south of Cass, AR on AR Hwy23 (Pig Trail) at 9:45.
• The Trailhead/Parking on Ragtown Road (FR1509) is another 7.3 miles from Turner Bend Store on dirt road.

Comments:  Wear a mask and plan to social distance.  Bring water, lunch, rain gear, gloves, and wear hiking boots. Also, bring loppers, hand shears, or small bow saws.  No pets are allowed, and children under 12 years are discouraged and must be accompanied by guardians.  Participants are required to sign a “liability release” http://www.ozarksociety.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/OS-Sign-Up_Sheet_rev4.pdf  to take part in any Ozark Society outing.  Everyone is welcome to hike with the OSHC, whether an Ozark Society member or not.
