Trail: North Sylamore Creek Trail-Allison TH to Blanchard Springs Rec. Area

NSCT is one of my favorite trails in North Central AR.  Views, wildflowers, creeks and probably some rocks!

Distance of hike:  5 miles

Difficulty of hike: Moderate

Hike Leader:  Kris McMillen

Meeting time: 9:30 a.m.  PLEASE BE PROMPT!

Meeting Place:  Allison Trailhead:  off Hwy 14 past intersection of 5/9/14 at Allison, AR.  Go over bridge and up hill, about 1/2 mile watch for hiker sign on right.  It is the first gravel road to right.  Go about .4 mi to a large open parking area facing the creek.

Shuttle: We’ll leave some cars at the meeting spot and drive to Blanchard Springs to begin hiking.

NOTE:  We will cross N. Sylamore Creek at the end of the hike.  It is very wide and will be over your boots so bring some sort of wading shoes, if you like.

Aprés Hike:  After the hike we will go back to Blanchard Springs and enjoy some good company.  Just bring some sort of snack to share (chips, dip, hummus, cookies, cheese/crackers, whatever) and if you want: a drink of your choice.

Please bring lunch, water, snacks, hiking boots/shoes, proper clothing for the temps/conditions.  Bring your own first aid supplies, bug spray, sunscreen or whatever you need for the day.

We are just some experienced hiking friends who are casually meeting at a trailhead to go hiking.  Hike at your own risk; everyone is responsible for their own self/well-being.  Hikes are limited to 16 people.

No children under age 15 allowed.

There will be an Ozark Society Liability Waiver for everyone to sign.

All hikes are weather-permitting so please let us know, before the day of the hike and before 8:00 p.m., if you are hiking with us—check your email in case of last minute or other changes:   email to krismcmillen7@gmail.com
