Name of Hike: Eagle Nest Trail Loop with options

Location:  Roaring River State Park,

Type of Hike:  Day-hike, Loop Trail

Hiking Distance:   2.75 miles

Elevation gain/loss: 465 ft

Rating:  Moderate, due to grades of more than 10% incline, possible frozen mud, slick rocks.

Features:  Wooded trail, bluffs, views of Roaring River. Optional hikes after tailgate lunch are Devil’s Kitchen trail, Deer Run to Fire Tower Trail, or just watching the trout or the trout fishermen.

Meeting Place and Time:

• Meet at Hobby Lobby parking lot on North College Avenue in Fayetteville AR on Sat 7 Dec for carpooling and caravaning for an 8:45 am departure; or,
• Meet at Roaring River State Park, Eagle’s Nest Trailhead at 10:00 am (in campground, parking spot at end of campground 2)
