This is a Rose Creek Initiative Outing!

Meet at: Rose Creek Park (S Schiller St and W 4^th St)

This 3-to-3½-mile hike/adventure will begin and end at Rose Creek Park.

The hike starts by following the Rose Creek Trail towards the Arkansas River, and then follows the river until it makes its way on to a levee.

We then climb the hillside through the woods to Knoop Park. From there, we will wind our way through the urban wildlands that will lead us back towards Rose Creek Park. After emerging from the woods, we get to enjoy the neighborhood’s views of downtown as we make our way back to our starting point.

The hike is quite scenic and is right here in the middle of town with Rose Creek Park as a hub.

Every part of the hike could potentially be a trail, and could be a great asset for the area!

A large portion of the walk will take place on unimproved and uneven ground.

A majority of it is off-road, and much of it is off-trail.

The trek involves a some strenuous, but relatively-short, hill climbs. Plan for 2 to 2½ hours.
