You are invited to the Ozark Society Highlands Chapter (OSHC) Spring Picnic Saturday June 8, 2024

We are happy to announce that our Spring Picnic will again be at Terry and Susan Fredrick’s house on Beaver Lake near Goshen.  Guests are welcome. Our potluck picnic starts at 2:00pm and should wrap-up around 6:00pm.  Check out the directions below.

Terry and Susan will provide a beautiful location and a meat/chicken dish.

The Highlands Chapter will bring water, cups, plates, napkins and flatware.

You will need to bring: a side dish, your favorite beverage, lawn chairs, and by all means, bring lawn games like horseshoes, ring toss and badminton!

Floating:   Our hosts have put in a new dock with a swim-deck for swimming and boating. You are invited to bring your kayaks or canoes after 10:00am.  We’re looking forward to a fun day on the lake!

From the north (Springdale, Rogers, Mountain Home, etc.):

  • On US Hwy 412, 1 mi east of White River Bridge near Nob Hill
  • From Springdale and Rogers: turn south (right) onto Blue Springs Road (70), follow 4.3 miles
  • From Mountain Home: turn south (left) onto Blue Springs Road (70), follow 4.3 miles
  • Turn west (right) onto Beav-O-Rama Road (545), follow west and north 1.9 miles
  • Turn north (right) onto Mayes Road (548), follow 1 mile to 18869 Mayes Road
  • Paved driveway is on the left follow ½ mile, white house will be on the right

From the south (Fayetteville):

  • On AR Hwy 45 at main intersection in downtown Goshen at Anderson’s gas station
  • Turn northwest (left) onto Blue Springs Road (70), follow northwest and north 1.8 miles
  • Turn west (left) onto Beav-O-Rama-Road (545), follow west and north 1.9 miles
  • Turn north (right) onto Mayes Road (548), follow 1 mile to 18869 Mayes Road
  • Paved driveway is on the left.  Follow the drive for ½ mile; the white house will be on the right.

Come picnic, socialize, kayak, swim and have fun!
